I finally finished.....

This afghan is 37 inches by 37.  Made of Lion Brand Yard in 3 bright colors.  It was fun to make, but it's a good thing it isn't very large, because it is heavy.   It's soft though, and not a bit scratchie.  I'm trying to put it on my Etsy Shop, but I haven't had much success yet.

I  finally finished my fun to make afghan.  It's 37 inches by 37.  I made it from Lion Brand HOMETOWN USA  Art. # 135.  The 3 bold yarns make it so pretty.  It's a good thing it's small because it's pretty heavy.  It's soft, but bulky.

I can't believe we have been in Virginia for eight months.  We have been so busy getting settled.  We still haven't gotten our cars in the garage.  Getting settled  includes so much more than just unpacking boxes.  We had to find new doctors, get our cars registered, and  our license changed.

Tired...........................

So many things are happening in my life right now.  Some are very sad and some are exciting, but most of them I'm just to old too be doing.  We are starting a new Chapter in our life.  Hubby has officially retired. We are putting our house up for sale.  Last Saturday we had a large yard sale.  Now I'm trying to stage the house for showing.   It's looking so nice, I just might stay.  No, not really.  We're in the middle of purchasing a house in Chester, Va., and it gets a little complicated long distance.  We went down in June, put a deposit on the house, had it inspected and then came back home.  On top of it all our mortgage rep. left and went to another bank, and everything had to be done over.  We have a four story house that we've lived in for 20 years, and it is full of stuff.  I'm trying to pare-down, but it's hard.  I'm working at it everyday from the time   I get up until I go to bed which is very late.  Oh well they say what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.  I always claimed God as my strength,  but now I'm really calling on Him to keep me strong and healthy. Here is a picture of our new house in Va.  At least we have a beautiful goal!

They're Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak

They're back and now they're eating my Hostas.  I don't remember deer having such large ears.

Surprise of the Day!

I walked out of the back door and there they were behind our house on the vacant lot. The young ones still have their spots.

HAPPY FOURTH

Happy Fourth of July
These are only 2 of the reasons that I'm thankful to live in America.  I'm also thankful for the men and women who have fought down through the years to keep our country free.  Thanks go to their families for the sacrifices they've made.  Above all, I'm thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for the sacrifice he made on our behalf in the shedding of His Blood for us, and the home he has promised us in Heaven.
